Mapping online conversations

17/05/10

The prism provides a snapshot of social networking platforms plotting together larger popular tools and those which are less obvious. Each category around the "wheel" represents a different type of conversation and in turn each type of conversation serves a distinctive business purpose.

This approach takes us back to the simple tasks of listening and observing which in turnhelps to identify exactly where relevant discussions are taking place, as well as their scale and frequency. The further you investigate it will reveal the cultures within the communities you may wish to engage with.

The Conversation Prism provides a way think about the types of conversation that will best reach your audience and achieve the right message and customer experience.

The Conversation Prism is a living, breathing representation of Social Media and continues to evolve.
